The spycam probe shows that circle officer Dinesh Yadav, who was in charge of Nithari investigation, called up Shivpal Singh Yadav, CM Mulayam Singh's brother and the UP PWD minister, at his residence at 7, Kalidas Marg three times from his mobile phone.
While six Noida police officers have been dismissed and three suspended for negligence in the case, Dinesh Yadav continues to serve as circle officer, Noida. He was not only in touch with Shivpal but also thrashed the relatives of Payal, the 20-year-old woman who was killed, when they came to complain about her disappearance. It's another matter that all the threats and actual physical violence on Payal's brother Prakash and sister-in-law Priya by the police did not make the family give up the search. In fact, their persistence was largely responsible for blowing the lid off Nithari, and that in turn, perhaps explains the desperation to shut them up. TOI tried repeatedly to get in touch with Dinesh Yadav and Noida SSP R K S Rathor to get their side of the picture soon after Star News aired the Tehelka expose, but they did not answer the calls. Dinesh Yadav appears to be a man with considerable political connection. Apart from ringing up the CM's brother, he also received a call from Samajwadi Party MP Ravi Prakash Verma's residence on January 5 when the police officer was in Gujarat for the narco-analysis test of Pandher and Surinder Koli. All this while Dinesh Yadav and his police colleagues were happily spending Pandher's money to carry out their duties in style. Circle Officer Dinesh Yadav (above) took Pandher's first-class AC hospitality to travel to Allahabad for the accused's anticipatory bail hearing. He was also in touch with Shivpal, Mulayam's brother, just ahead of his Nithari visit, as well as with other Samajwadi Party politicians ''I tried to explain the entire case to Dinesh Yadav. "He said it was all a lie that Payal was blackmailing him (Pandher) for money. Dinesh Yadav, Pandey and Kaur slapped Priya.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Noida R K S Rathore was transferred for dereliction of duty while Noida Circle Officer Dinesh Yadav, who was transferred to Agra on Friday, was suspended over alleged links with one of the accused Moninder Singh Pandher. Dinesh Yadav was transferred to Agra on Friday after a Tehelka-Star News sting alleged he was in the pay of Pandher and was shielding the businessman and his servant in the disappearance of several children. The sting alleged that Dinesh Yadav beat up the relatives of the murdered children when they attempted to file missing person reports and that he was close to senior state minister Shivpal Singh Yadav, brother of Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav. The transfer of Dinesh Yadav on Friday came hours after Shivpal Singh Yadav, the state public works department minister, gave him a clean chit. An enquiry committee set up by the Uttar Pradesh government had found the role of Rathore as not satisfactory. So far, five Noida police officials have been dismissed from service and another three including former Noida SSP Piyush Mordia and SP city Soumetra Yadav had been suspended for their inaction. Dinesh Yadav was the third to be suspended. On December 29, skeletal remains were discovered from a sewer behind the Noida villa of businessman Pandher. In the next few days, more than 20 skulls and several bones were discovered from the drain. Pandher and Surendra are currently in the custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).The Tehelka spy cam probe also showed that Yadav, who was in charge of Nithari investigation, called up UP Chief Minister M Mulayam Singh's brother Shivpal Singh Yadav, and the UP PWD Minister three times from his mobile phone.
