Diane Vaszily(Native American name Shananee, meaning Teacher & Friend), founder of the Science Eye, has shared her enthusiasm for science through teacher workshops and seminars at local, state and national levels.
With a BS in Biology from Lebanon Valley College and a MS in Biology & Environmental Education from Appalachian State University, Diane
has developed innovative products and has brought hands-on science into classrooms across the United States.
has also co-authored Bones, Bellies, and Bodies and City Science with former Science Eye
consultant Peggy Perdue.
has taught science to grade levels kindergarten through college throughout Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Arizona.
She has trained and re-certified teachers, written curricula, assessed science programs and worked directly with students in school-based programs.
In addition, Diane
has designed unique summer programs for university and community college campuses.
Besides consulting for the Science Eye
also develops kits and performs programs for her
own company, the Desert Eye.
