Diane ParadisCareer & Technical Education Coordinatordparadis@cpsd.us Diane comes to RSTA with an extensive academic background firmly rooted in career and technical education with over 25 years of experience from Assabet Valley RVHS (Marlboro), Nashoba Valley THS (Westford), Worcester Vocational HS and now at Rindge School of Technical Arts (RSTA). Diane's administrative positions have included Director of Academic/Technical Curriculum, Grants and Title 1, Academic/Vocational Integration Specialist, and HSTW Site Coordinator.In the classroom, she has taught in a wide variety of science areas, including Principles of Technology, Biology, Applied Chemistry Lab and Material Sciences.She was responsible for the creation of a diverse range of vocational/technical-academic integration curriculum.In addition, she was involved in FIRST Robotics and Track and Field.As the Drama Director, she was responsible for directing, staging, choreographing and the costuming of over 20 high school musical productions.In her current position as CTE Coordinator, Diane is looking forward to using her vast technical-academic integration experiences to work closely with the very talented and committed technical teaching staff at RSTA.She hopes to provide the necessary support to insure the new VTE Curriculum Frameworks are incorporated into the daily lesson plans here at RSTA and to insure the future technical education needs of the CRLS students are met as RSTA moves forward into the 21st century with the technological skills it demands. Having received her M.Ed. in 1983, she has since been fully certified through the Department of Education as a HS Principal and has held her Vocational Technical Administrator's certification in a multitude of areas including Superintendent since 2001.In addition, she is an active Life Member of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees and currently co-chairs the MASC Student Assessment Committee and is a member of the Regional Schools subcommittee.She has made numerous educational presentations it the state (DOE, MAVA, MVA, MASS/MASC) and at the national level (ACTE, NSBA).Diane is also a member of the MA DOE Advisory Committee for Career Technical Education.Diane currently lives in North Grafton with her son, Gregory.In all her "free-time",she enjoys theatre (especially musicals!), dining out, dancing, traveling, and reading at the beach (any beach!) or poolside!!!
