DiAnne's community involvement includes serving as President of Sponsorship for Burlington Steamboat Days; Board member of Burlington YWCA; Secretary of SnowBull, Inc.; former chairman and member of Burlington Optimist Dragon Boat Festivals; state chairman and local officer of Daughters of the American Revolution; member and/or officer of BPW, AAUW and Optimists; honorary member National Honor Society; Volunteer Coordinator for the DMC American Red Cross during the flood of 1993 for which she received a Governor's Community Volunteer Award; former member and/or officer of numerous educational organizations.

has learned the importance of community and has realized that it can be difficult for people in transition.
As a result, she
