Dexter was involved in establishment and continuation of the peer support and critical incident stress management program within Washington County beginning in 1982, and has worked closely with the Chaplains in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Dexter has received training through International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC) at international and regional seminars and is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management and Debriefing.
Dexter and Nancy have been faithful lay leaders in ministry within one church, the United Methodist Church of Banks, for nearly 30 years, holding many responsible positions of leadership.
