VERNON PARISH -- The trial date for Rosepine Police Chief Dennis Parrott has been refixed for Oct. 19, according to 30th Judicial District Court officials.
had been slated to go to trial on May 18.
Louisiana State Police arrested Parrott
in August 2014 following an investigation.
faces two counts of malfeasance in office, sexual conduct; one count of stalking; and one count of malfeasance in office.
was indicted in December 2014 and has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him.
is accused of stalking his
estranged wife and illegally using a law enforcement database to run a license plate.
is also accused of engaging in sexual activity with two people in custody.
Attorney General's Office is prosecuting the case.
Parrott is represented by Leesville attorney Elvin C Fontenot Jr.
