The ILRA first began awarding scholarships in 2002, when it gave out its first Billy Begnaud Scholarship, which is in honor of Begnaud who was a member of Local #66 in Texas. Begnaud served on ILRA's board, Advisory Committee, as event coordinator, and as chief judge of the International Lineman's Rodeo, which he helped judge for years.


Jeremy Sarron, Raymond Illinois, a student from Northwest Iowa Community College has been awarded a $1000 International LinemanÕs Association Scholarship
