Welcome to Dennis Keeling's
is a furniture maker and one of the few segmenters in the UK - turners that specialise in segmented turning.
has been turning since he
was 9 years old.
However, after a lapse of many years he
only started turning again in 1997.
started to specialise in segmented turning after spending a week with Bud Latven in 2003 and started to experiment with open segment turning in 2004 after meeting Jerry Bennett.
regularly writes articles for Woodturning magazine
and has been commissioned by GMC
, the publishers of Woodturning, to write a book on segmented turning.
The book entitled 'Segmented Turning - a practical guide' has been published by GMC
in the UK, Taunton Press
in the USA and Editions Vial in France.
Dennis completed a Masters Degree in Furniture Design at Bucks New University, High Wycombe - the National School of Furniture in 2012.
was awarded a distinction for his
work on the 'Owl Adjustable Rocking Chair' - a world's first.
He was a Director of the Association of Segmented Wood Turners, and a member of the Association of Woodturners in GB (AWGB), the Middlesex Woodturners Association (MWA), the Society of Ornamental Turners (SOT), and the American Association of Woodturners (AAW).

uses the SegEasy templates.
These were so costly to import from the USA that he
now buys them in bulk to resell them himself in Europe - far cheaper and quicker than importing them individually.
The range has recently been extended from the small 8-11 to the new giant sized 24-4 with a 295mm diameter.
