Dennis Humphries is pictured in the centerNASHVILLE, Tenn. - Dennis Humphries, member of HisSong, is currently recovering from a surgery that took place earlier today, July 21, 2005. According to group member Adam Elrod, Humphries was having surgery to remove a large sized mass in the side of his neck and shoulder.
The surgery was fairly complicated, but Dennis
is reported to be doing well.
"We ask that you continue to pray for Dennis
as he recovers in the next couple of days," said Adam Elrod.

Dennis Humphries, founder of HisSong, started singing at age two and started a group with his cousin at age fifteen.
He later joined a full-time group, Chosen; during his years with Chosen, he met and married his wife.
He came off the road to spend more time with her, becoming a Music Minister in Huntsville, Alabama.
Tragedy struck his family when his wife was robbed and shot; the depression he fought afterwards almost took his own life.
He founded HisSong in 2001, and shares the testimony about how God brought him through in the group's concerts.
In 2005, HisSong
signed a record deal with Vine / Crossroads records.
Their second Vine / Crossroads release, On the Way Up, brought the group a 2009 Dove Award nomination and four top twenty singles.
Their third Vine Records release, Journey Through
the Sky," brought the group another top 10 hit, "I Believe in Prayer."
