In a prior life, Dennis was a federal prosecutor and the Chief Assistant City Attorney in San Francisco.

successful defense of suits brought by Pat Robertsonâ€™s legal foundation and United Airlines challenging San Franciscoâ€™s nondiscrimination law protecting the economic rights of domestic partners.
Dennis is a graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Law School, and was a Wasserstein Public Interest Fellow at Harvard in 1996.
