Forty years since the launch of her classic thrifty cookbook, cook and TV presenter Delia Smith CBE has teamed up with us to give the public a chance of winning signed copies, as part of our Harvest Appeal. CAFOD Ambassador Delia has kindly donated 10 signed copies of her ground breaking book Frugal Food, which was first published in the 1970s. People will be given the opportunity to win a signed copy of the book by taking part in our social media competition which will launch on Monday 19th September. The books were generously donated for our appeal, which this year, focuses on Bolivia and our two year-long Hands On campaign which aims to support communities' to journey from poverty to abundance. Delia Smith, has supported us for more than 50 years and has backed numerous fundraising appeals including emergencies and fast days. Most recently, Delia highlighted the plight of refugees by lending her support to the Refugee Crisis Appeal after being moved by the gravity of the disaster. In 2014, Delia also helped launch our Friday Suppers cookbook, written by her good friend and former recipe tester Pauline Curran, which raised vital funds for our work. Additionally, Delia has written numerous religious reflections for our supporters and donated a VIP experience at Norwich Football Club - where she is joint majority shareholder - as a competition prize.
