www.news-journal.com [cached]

Del Nixon, 80, was released Tuesday from The Clairmont, a rehabilitation and nursing home facility, said Shrader. After graduation, they went to the University of North Texas, where Nixon earned a degree in social work.Nixon also earned a master's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Nixon, a team manager at SITEL Corp., a telecommunication services company, had moved back to Longview four years ago from Jacksonville, Fla., where she worked as a regional manager for a shoe company. She brought her home on Iris Circle, her first, about a year ago, Shrader said. "She had lots of plans for the house. She loved that house, fixing it up inside and outside, and she loved gardening," her friend said. Nixon, who loved listening to the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Eagles and R.E.M, had moved around a lot with her jobs, so she hadn't purchased a home until she returned to Longview.
