In addition to many professional associations, they have strong ties to a number of charitable organizations.Debbie is a member of the Women's Philanthropy Board of Allied Jewish Federation, past Women's Campaign Chair, and co-chair of their Major Gifts campaign.Don also co-chairs the Major Gifts campaign with Debbie; he sits on the board of Allied Jewish Federation, serving two terms as treasurer, two terms on the Endowment Committee, and he sits on the Philanthropy board as well; and he is a member of the board of National Jewish Hospital.
Don's tenure on the JFS
board has seen extraordinary growth in the need for services and JFS's subsequent growth to meet those needs.Don has been invaluable in making certain that growth happened in well-managed and appropriate ways.As chair of the Development Committee, he oversaw a complete reworking of the Development department, the birth of a new spring event - the JFS Executive Luncheon, and the institution of long-term strategic planning, meeting aspirations of new levels of professionalism.
