Deanna Malikie, Strength Phone Deanna Malikie is an Exercise Science major at the University of Puget Sound.Deanna played 4 years of varsity basketball, volleyball, and track and field at Valley Christian HS in Missoula, Montana, becoming a SportsQuest 1st Team All-American her senior year in basketball.In high school, she was also the valedictorian of her senior class with a 4.0 cumulative GPA.At UPS, Deanna has been elected to the Dean's list, the Mortar Board National Honor Society and was recently elected President of the Exercise Science Club.She also has experience as a Physical Therapy aid at Reunion Physical Therapy Clinic.Deanna is currently working on her senior thesis project regarding the use of isokinetic knee exercise to aid in the recovery process from reconstructive knee surgery.She plans to present her research findings at the American College of Sports Medicine International Conference in Ireland in May of 2009.She has coached track and field and worked with children in several different capacities.She is passionate about health and plans to apply to medical school after graduation eventually pursuing a career with athletes in the field of orthopedics.
