As modern technology moved into the digital age, so did the newspaper business.And he
transformed the Star-Bulletin's
photo department into an all-digital operation.
Toward the end of the 20th Century, Dean's career slowly migrated toward video production.At the beginning of 2005 he
became fully committed to doing independent production work and left the newspaper business.Dean holds a BA degree in journalism from the University of Hawaii.He
a licensed pilot, a certified scuba diver, a cyclist, and a lousy fisherman.
