competed undergraduate requirements for Chiropractic College at Rutgers University and Dalhousie University
four-year Doctor of Chiropractic degree (D.C.) from Western States Chiropractic College
in Portland, Oregon in 1976.Dr. Raffelock
has earned post-graduate diplomates (Board certifications) in three different specialties; (1) Nutrition (DACBN-Diplomate Americian Chiropractic Board of Nutrition), (2) Acupuncture (Dipl. Ac.-NCCAOM certified), and (3) Applied Kinesiology (DIBAK-Diplomate International Board of Applied Kinesiology).He
is also certified by the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists to practice clinical nutrition (CCN). Dr. Raffelock
has been practicing and studying clinical nutrition for over thirty years.He has hosted an online teaching forum for the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM); an organization dedicated to teaching doctors of all persuasions research-based biochemical nutrition for five years.Dr Raffelock has taught clinical nutrition for the International and American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists, IFM, Crayhon Research's BoulderFest and Nutrient Expos and lectures nationwide on a variety of nutritional topics including pregnancy recovery, chronic fatigue syndrome, enhanced sports performance, and weight loss.He
has also taught aspects of structural care to various dental organizations.Dr. Raffelock
has treated many professional athletes including two #1 ranked female professional tennis players, members of the Denver Broncos football team, Colorado Avalanche Hockey team, and Colorado Rockies baseball team along with Olympic marathon runners.Dr. Raffelock's
original research papers have been printed in the Collected Papers of the International
College of Applied Kinesiology, from which he
garnered their Selected Papers Award: "An Investigative Manual Muscle Testing by Three Dimensional Computerized Force Plate Analysis."He
has also been published in Nutritional Perspectives, the publication of the American Chiropractic Board's
Council on Nutrition. Prior to his move to Colorado, Dr. Raffelock practiced in Southern California where he was the only holistic doctor to be a member of the Bioprogressive Diagnostic Team, a multi-disciplinary team in Pacific Palisades, consisting of twenty medical experts formed to evaluate complex medical problems.Dr. Raffelock
received a research grant from the Danny Kaye Foundation
in January of 1999 to conduct original research regarding food allergy desensitization techniques.
Currently Dr. Raffelock
has a holistic, multidisciplinary practice in Boulder, Colorado that includes structural care, acupuncture, and metabolic/nutritional care.He
interprets functional tests (blood levels of nutrients, hormone tests, digestive and cardiovascular tests) for patients seeking nutritional therapy.He
has a passion to help mothers recover their lost nutritional reserves after giving birth, thus preventing and resolving many postpartum disorders.He has been researching baseline nutritional and hormonal testing for mothers for many years and is well aware of the common postpartum nutritional deficiencies and how to help mothers replenish them in their bodies.Dr. Raffelock's
