Dean S. Barr Dean Barr, Mr. Barr, 47, has been a principal of Southgate since inception. From 2005 to 2007, he served as Head of Liquid Alternative Investments for Citigroup Alternative Investments and Chief Executive Officer of Tribeca Global Management, where he built a platform of hedge funds, structured finance vehicles, credit derivative proprietary trading, managed futures funds and investment activities involving liquid securities. He also served on Citigroup Alternative Investments' Policy, Investment and Management Committees, as well as Citigroup's Management Committee. From 2002 until 2005, Mr. Barr was Founder & CEO of Thunder Bay Capital Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund. Previously, from 1999 to 2002, he was Global Chief Investment Officer of Deutsche Asset Management. In that role, he developed the company's first integrated global investment platforms for all asset classes, created a global research center, and initiated the firms alternative investment activities.
