Dawn Schellenberg, President
Dawn has worked at the Seattle Department of Transportation for seven years and is responsible for community outreach and liaison work on sensitive transportation issues.
does so by fostering communications with businesses and residents on complex efforts such as the Center City Parking Program, implementing Seattle Summer Street events, and facilitating an ongoing dialogue with bicycle and pedestrian advocates.
Dawn also serves as a liaison to the citywide Race and Social Justice outreach team to identify and implement inclusive public engagement activities to increase access to information, resources and civic processes by people of color and immigrant and refugee communities.
Dawn loves music and Rain City Rock Camp's
mission of building positive self-esteem in girls, fostering leadership and valuing diversity.
participated in two of Portland's Ladies Rock Camps and enjoys using her
public engagement skills to help more girls (and women) have positive experiences and know it is possible to foster a supportive environment as they move forward in life.
Dawn has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, Resource Management and a minor in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.
