Dr. Millar joined the staff of the Institute for Crisis Management while on sabbatical leave from Indiana State University.
He has been a professor of communication, and consultant to business, for more than 25 years.
Dr. Millar joined the faculty of Indiana State University as chairperson of the Department of Communication, a position he held for 9 years.
was honored with the Kaleb Mills Distinguished Teacher Award at the ISU commencement ceremonies in 1999.
He previously has taught at Central Michigan University, Bowling Green State University, Michigan State University, and Port Huron Junior College before moving to Indiana.

, of Crisis Management & Communication" How to Gain and Maintain Control, published by the International Association of Business Communicators
presently is completing two books: a public relations case study test, and a collection of essays on crisis communication.
