David is Deputy Director, Strategic Communications, for the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), where he works to promote the many economic and environmental benefits of American wind power.
is a leader in strategic communications and media relations at AWEA
and equips the Public Affairs team with a thoughtful approach to public relations.
Before joining AWEA, David had the privilege of working for several outstanding organizations.
Early in his career David worked for three years as a Program Manager for the League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS).
David left the LWV to obtain his Masters in Strategic Communications at Villanova University (ranked #1 in the North region for Master's Universities by U.S. News & World Report.)
While completing his Masters, David interned for United States Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the Senate Democrats War Room (DPCC) conducting research on strategic framing and message resonance.
also interned briefly for Pennsylvania Democrats before creating and managing an award winning program for Progress Now in Pennsylvania.
David is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is currently seeking a leadership role within the organization.
