Dave's story is like that of many in Michigan-he worked hard, earned his education, and was able to live the American Dream. A lifelong resident of Southeast Michigan, Dave is a leader in innovation, problem solving, and job creation. Since joining his parents in their family law firm in 1985, Dave has created and saved 1,800 jobs in southeast Michigan.
Dave's leadership in the business community in Michigan makes him uniquely prepared to help craft and provide input to job-creating measures in Congress. Dave is not a career Washington politician; rather he's a Michigan innovator with a proven record of improving the lives of the citizens of Southeast Michigan.
Throughout his career, Dave has been committed to giving back to his community in Southeast Michigan. Dave spent a semester of teaching American government, and has also served on the University of Michigan Advisory Board, Detroit Country Day School Board of Trustees, The Community House Board, Karmanos Cancer Center Board, Michigan State Building Authority Board of Trustees, and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees.

For more than 30 years, Dave has honed his skills as a leader and innovative businessman with expertise in technology, legal affairs, and housing. Throughout his career, Dave has created and saved 1,800 jobs in southeast Michigan.
In 1985, he joined his father and mother in the family law firm. Under Dave's leadership, the firm and other businesses grew. As an innovator, Dave applied his unique problem solving ability to evolving technologies, accounting services, E-mail optimization and staffing processes. His business acumen was recognized by Crain's Magazine as one of the "Best and Brightest Under 40".
As a good friend to our community, Dave received the James T. Barnes Award; developed and organized Southeast Michigan Housing Fairs and fundraisers for Coalition on Temporary Shelter; and presented with the 2012 Community Philanthropy and Service Award by The Community House.
Dave's relentless work ethic is matched by his integrity to uphold our values and instill them in the next generation. He has spent a semester teaching American government at Detroit Country Day School and was the keynote speaker to Country Day graduates at the June 2013 commencement ceremony. Dave currently serves on the University of Michigan Advisory Board, Detroit Country Day School Board of Trustees, The Community House Board, Karmanos Cancer Center Board, Michigan State Building Authority Board of Trustees, and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees.
Dave has and continues to exemplify an unyielding lifelong dedication to advancing conservative principles. As a high school student, he updated voting lists for then-Oakland County Republican Chairman, former Congressman Joe Knollenberg. While attending the University of Michigan, Dave volunteered for State Senator Don Bishop in Lansing. After graduation, he worked for Congressman Bill Broomfield (R-Royal Oak) in Washington.
Dave has supported numerous local, state and federal candidates that embrace our conservative values. Most recently, Dave served as chairman for the 124th Oakland Lincoln Day Dinner presented by the Oakland County Republican Party. The event boasted a record attendance of nearly 2,300, one of the largest crowds in the nation, and featured more than 60 local high school students.
