Dr. David Stevens
is generally regarded as one of the world's leading workshop facilitators, particularly in value management, value engineering, risk management, partnering, project alliancing and strategic planning.
has worked on major projects worldwide including mining development, power projects, hospitals, airports, railways, highways, retail and commercial buildings.
has carried out well over 1000 workshops.
academic qualifications include three Masters degrees; in Engineering (Hons); Science (Environmental Psychology) and Arts (Literature).
He has a PhD in Organisational Psychology, specialising in collaborative decision making on major engineering projects.
The framework and theoretical basis for his
workshop facilitation techniques are derived from his
specialisation as an organisational psychologist.
He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Dr Stevens was an Adjunct Professor at the College of Engineering at the University of Western Sydney for 11 years.
has acted as an external examiner of doctoral level theses.
has authored 8 books, 2 of which are major international texts.
He holds several board positions and was Chairman of an Australian Standards Committee.
Dr Stevens has been cited in Barons and Marquis international Who's Who on numerous occasions for his work in group problem solving and participatory decision making, as well as the IBC Cambridge's 2000 outstanding scientists of the 20th Century.
was listed in the Asia Top 500 Leaders for the year 2000.
has delivered papers at conferences in more than twenty countries around the world.
