, a 25-year veteran of the freight transportation industry joined CCX
in 1983 as an account manager in Cincinnati.In 1986 he
was promoted to service center manager there and in 1988 was promoted to northwest region manager based in Milwaukee, where he
successfully managed an aggressive plan to develop CCX's
service center network in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and western Illinois.In 1989, McClimon became region manager in Chicago, and subsequently directed the strategic expansion of CCX's largest region comprised of the Chicagoland and western Indiana markets.In 1993 he was promoted to vice president of national sales for Con-Way Transportation Services.He was promoted to CCX vice president of sales in 1997.

was named Con-Way Western Express
president and chief executive officer.McClimon, 47, is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, where he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing.
