4Life Research Company History

In 1996, David Lisonbee left a nutraceutical company he cofounded in 1985. He confessed, "Although incredibly successful, we weren't reaching enough people. There had to be a better way!"
Through his research he discovered that the immune system was the hub, or center, of good health. The immune system is the body's way of disabling or killing disease-causing microorganisms (germs) that would otherwise destroy us. There are billions of these germs in our environment, which all of us come in contact with regularly. A healthy immune system means a healthy body and a happy life. David found that heart disease, ulcers, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, mental illness, some cancers and even obesity are all linked to menacing herms that our weak immune systems cannot handle. That's when he discovered the power of microproteins called transfer factors and their beneficial impact on the immune system. With over 50 years of research and more than 3,000 studies and papers, transfer factors are distinctive proteins which literally transfer immune knowledge from a donor to a recipient. David also discovered that there was a patented process for extracting transfer factors from bovine (cow) colostrum. He secured an exclusive license to the patent. The strength of these amazing molecules convinced David to integrate transfer factors into the network marketing industry he knew so well.

In 2006 David Lisonbee received the prestigious I.N. Blokhina Award for "excellence in biotechnology. TotalHealth magazine placed Lisonbee and 4Life® at the "forefront of immune research for more than 12 years."

David Lisonbee Founder and Chief Executive Officer
In school, David was the one who figured things out. In adulthood, he's pretty much the same. His knack is looking at the same thing everyone else is looking at, and seeing something completely different. In looking at the immune system, he saw it needed more than nutrition - he gave it information. In looking at network marketing, he saw it needed more than product - he gave it purpose. His titles are founder and chief executive officer, but David considers his role to be more that of a "Lead explorer". The field of nutraceuticals and immune support takes daily leaps, and David's persistent curiosity constantly pushes the frontier. And he knows what he's doing. He's led other companies to repeated fame, not to mention landing 4Life at 15th of Inc. Magazine's fastest-growing privately-held company list, being named one of Utah's Entrepreneur's of the year and securing a record list of patents. In 2006, David's acclaim extended to Russia when he won the I.N. Blokhina award in honor of his commitment to Transfer Factor research, patents, and innovative production methods. Watch out for David. Once he gets going - he doesn't stop.

Bianca also loves to dance; however, since David's not a fan of the foxtrot (or any other dance step), her children usually take turns as her dance partner.
...
David's an excellent hiking partner though, and one of Bianca's goals is to ascent Utah's Mount Timpanogos with all her children and grandchildren by her side.

4Life Research Transfer Factor Co Founders

We begin our story with co-founders David and Bianca Lisonbee.
...
First, meet David Lisonbee. Here's a man who knows how to create his own opportunities. Even at a young age, this 4Life co-founder made things happen. "I painted addresses on curbs," David recalls. Pulling out his brushes and hitting the streets by dawn, David cleaned and painted curbs all day. Then he went home, cleaned up, and headed back out to the neighborhood where he'd been working, this time for door-to-door selling with the homeowners. "I worked completely by donation," David explains, "asking homeowners to contribute what they considered a fair price for my service. His wife, Bianca, notes "David has always been uncannily skillful at noticing the needs of others and willing to do whatever he can to meet those needs."
...
One evening, after a particularly long day of curb-painting, David knocked on a door he'll never forget. A woman answered, and when she saw the care with which David had cleaned and painted her curb, she asked him to wait on the porch and disappeared back into the house. She emerged a few moments later to place six silver dollars in his palm. "Well done! was all she said.
David took those six silver dollars home and, instead of spending them, placed them where he could see them every day. They reminded him that a job well done has rewards above and beyond simply being paid. The symbolic significance of the coins remains a 4Life tradition today, and The Life Rewards program was designed to reward the persistence, effort, thoughtful care, and diligence that goes into a job well done.
David still has his six silver dollars.
...
David had experienced persistent upper respiratory problems his entire adult life, and the Lisonbees had both spent 20 years developing nutritional support products. These two influences had made the Lisonbees passionate about finding a way to provide a solution for stronger, healthier immune systems. Yet what the Lisonbees found took the entire immune-support industry by surprise. Resisting The Exotic "I knew the immune system was the key," mused David. "yet I had been taught, like everyone else, to look for immune support in vitamins, minerals, and herbs. I didn't realize that a strong immune system needed something altogether different. At that point, research teams and new business owners were packing their bags and heading to far-off locations, searching for that one exotic fruit that would hold the secret to longevity and well-being. That was about to change.
Quite by accident, completely frustrated that his relentless pursuit and a decade of international travel had turned up nothing, David made one more trip...
...this time to the library.
Breakthrough Elbow-deep in library research, David was investigating the immune benefits of colostrum when he came across a reference to an obscure patent for something called transfer factor. This obscure patent, David discovered, concerned something that had never existed in any exotic locale on earth.
...
In fact, David had already spent 20 years building one of the most successful and profitable direct-selling businesses of its day, Enrich International. Together with his wife, Bianca, David secured the right to the only existing Transfer Factor extraction process patent and, in 1998, David and Bianca Lisonbee made the miracle of Transfer Factor available to the world.
...
"Because the entire neutraceuticals' market was focused on finding nutritional sources, the immune information supplied by transfer factor placed our 4Life Transfer Factor® Classic product in a category of its own," David admitted. In fact, looking beyond "nutrition" to "information" was such a novel idea , that the introduction of transfer factor into the market completely changed how people thought about health.
4Life's Innovative Advantage For most people, the realization that transfer factor holds the key to strong, healthy immune systems would have been enough for one lifetime, but David wasn't done having good ideas. In fact, he was just getting started. He brought together a team of in-house research specialists in bio-organic chemistry, neutraceuticals, and health sciences to begin what is now known as the 4Life Transfer Factor wellness revolution.
