Mr. LeFevre has been Chairman of Beacon Sports Properties, LLC from 1998 to the present.Prior to 1998, Mr. LeFevre served as the Governor of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning from 1992 through 1997, serving on the Board of Governors of the National Hockey League.He was also a Director of the NHL Pension Society and a member of the Board of Directors of the Hockey Hall of Fame and Museum.His NHL responsibilities included league-wide and Lightning-specific issues including collective bargaining, pension matters, expansion, licensing, sponsorships, broadcast rights, franchise transfers, ownership and financing matters and rules of play.Mr. LeFevre was involved in all aspects of the Lightning's obtaining an expansion NHL franchise and the development, financing, construction and operation of the Ice Palace.The Ice Palace serves as the home of the Tampa Bay Lightning and hosts in excess of an additional 100 non-hockey events annually and is ranked as one of the top five (5) entertainment venues in the United States.Mr. LeFevre's responsibilities at the Lightning included the financing of the franchise and the development of its initial hockey marketing strategies.
Prior to his tenure on the Board of Governors of the National Hockey League, Mr. LeFevre was a partner in the New York based law firm of Thelen Reid & Priest, specializing in the area of project finance.He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan.He is originally from Cleveland, Ohio.
