David M. LaGreca Mr. LaGreca served as Executive Director of VCG Governance Matters from 2009 through 2015 when he became Client Services Director. Prior to 2009 he worked for the organization for several years earlier in his career. He works with clients on issues of strategy consulting, board recruitment and leadership. Prior to this role, he founded The LaGreca Company (TLC) in 1999. David has extensive experience assisting corporate and nonprofit executives with strategy, performance coaching and refining business operations. Between 2004 and 2008, he served as Interim Executive Director for five nonprofit organizations. His past work for clients ranges from a $30M merger of two social service agencies in Manhattan to the dissolution of a long established workforce program. The VCG Governance Matters brings in an outside group each year, explained LaGreca, to evaluate submitted applications and to narrow the group down to 4 or 5 finalists. Each finalist is then interviewed by the jury (consisting of the Executive Director and Board Chair), who select the final winner.
The winner will receive a $5,000 award, supported by a gift in Mahoney's memory from The Rauch Foundation on whose board she served.
