Dr. David DiMattio
Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
RPA Inc. is pleased to announce that Dr. David DiMattio has been appointed as the new Dean of STEM at MCCC.
David joins the College from St. Bonaventure University where he has served in both faculty and administrative roles since 1999.
He began his 14-year tenure as Assistant Professor of Physics and, in 2006, became Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences and Dean of Clare College, the position he currently holds.
While at St. Bonaventure University, David was responsible for the development and implementation of a 12-area core curriculum that aligned with the University's mission; engaged in institutional strategic planning, academic planning and program development, and accreditation; established partnerships with local industry for student internships; fully implemented a dual enrollment program in Warren County, Pennsylvania; and served as a board member of the Challenger Learning Center, a space-themed educational facility to simulate youth interest in STEM.
also has extensive experience with grants and participates in other scholarly activities such as service, research, publications, and presentations.
David has a B.S. and M.S. in Physics from St. Bonaventure University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
