Dave Burdick started with the Orange County Sheriff's Office in April 1990, and this month marks his 23rd year with the Agency.
During Dave's tenure with the Agency, he
has worked in a myriad of divisions and sections within the Agency ranging from Uniform Patrol Division, Property Investigations, Robbery Unit, Gang Unit, Persons Unit, Enforceable Writs, Bike/Tac Unit, TOPS, Court Security, and most recently he
decided to finish his
career within the Training Section-FTEP.
had been with the PBA prior to and after they were officially the OCSO Collective Bargaining agent.
Dave had really never gotten involved with the functions and objectives with the union but he certainly had an opinion of what was wrong or should be changed so when the Fraternal Order of Police became the "new" bargaining agent, he decided this would be a great opportunity to put his thoughts and criticisms into action.

President Lockwood approached Dave
on being on the Executive Board and he
ran for the office of State Trustee and was elected into that position on November 2012, and will hold that office until 2014.
Moreover, Dave has been appointed as your chairman for the Labor Committee, which will be responsible for coordinating, organizing, and enforcing the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
This is an appointed position so he
will serve at your pleasure and wants to earn your trust as your chief executive officer of the labor committee.
