David Coover Dave Coover has been with the AIM Institute since November, 2001.Dave is Director of Training and works closely with AIM's corporate and educational partners to develop and deliver technical training opportunities. Dave graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1987) with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry.He also holds a Master of Science in Educational Administration (1994) from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and is certified as a Secondary Science Teacher and Secondary Principal. Dave brings 15 years of educational experience to AIM.He has served as a Classroom Teacher, Department Chairman, Technology Coordinator, Network Administrator, and Student Recruitment Coordinator.He served as a part-time Staff Development Instructor for the Omaha Public Schools, teaching a variety of computer courses to their instructional staff.He is currently an adjunct instructor at the University of Nebraska Omaha College of Education.Dave
was named AITP's
Outstanding Educator in 2001. Dave recently retired from the Nebraska Air National Guard after 22 years of service.
military career, he
flew the RF-4C Phantom II and the KC-135R refueling tanker.He
participated in numerous overseas operational deployments to include Allied Force, Joint Forge, Decisive Endeavor, Enduring Freedom, and Noble Eagle and was awarded both the Air Force Meritorious Service and the Air Force Commendation Medals. Dave
is active in a variety of community and church activities and enjoys coaching youth sports, boating, skiing, golf, and staying current in the latest technological developments.He
is married and the proud father of two children, William and Jennifer.
