Meeting with county officials Thursday, Dave Ashley, liaison with the Greater Parkersburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, submitted several grant funding requests.
A request for $2,500 to help fund the Battle for Volcano Civil War re-enactment at Mountwood Park was submitted by Ashley on behalf of the Wood County Parks and Recreation Commission, Mountwood's governing board.
"They asked for $5,000.
You funded them $2,500 last year, so we are requesting the same amount as last year until we can better track the number of room nights relating to this event," Ashley
told county officials.
