DDB Chain OFF 2009: Freedom for Chained Dogs

www.dogsdeservebetter.org [cached]

Dogs Deserve Better was founded in 2002 by Tammy Grimes, according to DDB's local representative, Danielle Waechter.
Waechter is surpised that more people can't see that the situation that exists in yards all around them. I asked Danielle and Rebecca to put themselves in the animals' "paws" and tell me just how it felt to be chained to a tree in over 100 degree heat for 12 hours. Danielle commented on the loneliness of the dogs, how it must feel wondering "if he was going to get walked or fed. It was so hot she eventually had to move into the shade. Rebecca Schneider, Danielle Waechter, Laura Whitman and Tamira Ci Thayne join me in urging you to help stop this abusive treatment of chaining dogs as a means to contain them, and pass the word around.
