We are delighted to have Rabbi Daniel Zucker as our spiritual advisor. Rabbi Zucker graduated from the University of California-Berkley in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology of the Near East. He holds a Masters degree in Hebrew Letters from Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles. Rabbi Zucker received his Rabbinic Ordination from Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, and his Doctor of Divinity from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in New York.

Rabbi Zucker has extensive adult education teaching experience and has published numerous books and articles. In the course of his 35+ years as a Rabbi, he has been extensively involved in each community where he has lived, as well as national organizations such as Americans for Democracy in the Middle East and the National Coalition for Pro-Democracy Advocates.
We are privileged to have such a learned and accomplished spiritual leader at our helm. Rabbi Zucker is also the Principal of our Religious School, and guides our children through their studies from Kindergarten through Bar/Bat Mitvah age, and beyond into adult education.

The community continued with Conservative leadership until 1978 when the congregation hired Daniel Zucker, a graduate of the Reform Hebrew Union College. Rabbi Zucker was hired with special permission of the Conservative Rabbinical Assembly under the exception that the Jewish Theological Seminary had ordained only ten rabbis the previous year and therefore new job candidates were scare.
