Daniel J. Sarkissian '97 and Mark J. Winchell '98 both begin their
Salesianum School is pleased to announce the hiring of Daniel J. Sarkissian, a 1997 graduate, as its new Development Officer, and Mark J. Winchell, a 1998 graduate, as the new Admissions Director.
In his role as Development Officer, Dan will play three key functions in the advancement of Salesianum School: management of the Development Office operations and staff; development and implementation of a long-term strategy for solicitation of major gifts; and lastly, the expansion of a planned gifts program, including bequests, trusts and gift annuities.
Dan brings five years of development experience to his new post, having served as the Director of Planned Giving for the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales in Wilmington since July 2001.
time there, Dan
was involved in the strategic design and implementation of multiple fundraising vehicles.
In addition, he
was tasked with actively marketing the Oblate Development Office's
estate planning options.
Moreover, Dan oversaw the office's grant programs, Web site, and advertising design campaigns
In addition to his work with the Oblate Development Office, Dan is an active supporter of the volunteer service corps.
DeSales Service Works (DSW), where he has served as a member of the Advisory Board since 2001.
He is also a member of the Wilmington-West Rotary Club, where he serves on the clu's fundraising and development committee.
Dan earned his undergraduate degree in marketing and management from DeSales University in 2001, later receiving his Masters of Business Administration from St. Joseph's University Haub School of Business in 2005.
