The Indiana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Indiana) Board of Directors presented a 2007 President's Award to Daniel R. Mader, AIA of Fanning/Howey Architects in Indianapolis at their 2007 Annual Convention in Columbus, IN. Awarded at the discretion of the President of AIA Indiana, the President's Award is given in recognition of an individual's unique contribution to the profession of architecture in Indiana.

Legislative Committee chair over the last few years.

has teamed with a growing ArchiPAC fund, become proactive by sponsoring and writing proposed legislation, working with other state agencies to assist in legislation, and seeking and creating relationships with our allied fields in these efforts.
In addition to this Mr. Mader has personally coordinated association lobbying efforts, state house/committee testimony, and has testified on multiple occasions both in support of and in opposition to many bills.
All state-wide AIA chapters have to deal with legislation.
For a number of years AIA Indiana
has taken a reactive and responsive role to legislation - with some very good successes.
It is with the leadership and dedication of Mr. Mader

has gained a more prominent, responsible, and appreciated presence at the state house.
