When Angus Murdock, the curator of the Reedville Fisherman's Museum called upon our agents Dan a
nd Brett Winters of Dan Winters
Sailmakers, concerning sails for the restored Chesapeake Bay skipjack, the Claud W. Somers , we were more than casually interested.
Working closely with Dan
and Brett, we handcrafted a sail plan that included the non-contemporary items such as mast hoops on the mainsail, lazy jacks and a half clubfoot on the jib.
and Brett provided excellent measurements of the boat and rig and together we brought all the parameters together to build an excellent set of sails.
