Daniel A. Terry

(Dan) is a native Charlottean.
He grew up in South Charlotte and attended Charlotte Country Day School.
After graduating from County Day School, Dan enrolled at Hampden-Syndey College in Virginia.
He received a B.A. in Ecomonics (Cum Laude).
While at Hampden-Sydney, Dan
received the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award for Economics and was inducted into the National Society
in Economics, Omicron Delta Epsilon and the Eta of Virginia Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa
Dan entered The Wake Forest School of Law in 1986 and graduated with his J.D. in 1989.
Dan has been an active member of the North Carolina State Bar since 1989.
He is a member of the North Carolina State bar, the Mecklenburg County Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association.
Dan is a current Board Member (2012-2014) of RELANC, the North Carolina Real Estate Lawyers Association of North Carolina.
Dan began his legal career in 1989 in Raleigh, North Carolina with the Firm of Smith, Debnam, Hibbert, and Dohl, P.A. After several years, Dan returned home to Charlotte and joined James, McElroy and Diehl, P.A. as an associate.
In 1995, Dan became partner in the firm of McMillan, Surles & Terry, P.A. which later evolved into McMillan & Terry, P.A.
Dan is now the member/manager of The Terry Law Firm, PLLC in the heart of South Park.
and his wife, Laura Ann, were married in 1988 and currently live in South Charlotte.
They have three children; Danny
, Carolina and Mary Kathryn.
