President & CEO
Dan Sinykin is the President and CEO of Monterey Mills, the largest sliver knitting operation in North America, with factories in Wisconsin and North Carolina.
As tens of thousands of textile jobs have left the United States, Monterey remains committed to sustaining and growing the knit fabric industry in the states.
From the fabric on the end of a paint roller to the costumed characters roaming the streets of Disneyland, Monterey
is the dominant provider of high pile fabric in the USA.
To remain competitive, Monterey sources raw material from around the world; yet supporting domestic manufacturers remains a strong priority.
Monterey exports its fabrics to over a dozen foreign countries, including China, Japan, Indonesia, Egypt, Canada, Australia, and Mexico.
Before acquiring his first sliver knitting operation in 1995, Sinykin held various sales and marketing positions at Procter and Gamble and started a fourteen store retail operation based in Chicago.
He holds a BA from Drake University, sits on the Board of a number of non-profit organizations in the Milwaukee area, and is a past Chairman of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) - Wisconsin Chapter.
