LOS ANGELES, CA - December 20th, 2013: Warner Bros. Records (WBR) today announced the appointment of Dan McCarroll as President.
McCarroll's responsibilities will include helping to forge creative strategy for the label and overseeing all A&R activities.
Effective January 1st 2014, he
will report to Chairman & CEO, Cameron Strang, and be based in Burbank, CA. McCarroll
was most recently President of Capitol Records

As the President of Capitol Records, McCarroll led artist discovery and development efforts in the United States at a time when the Group's frontline artists included Elton John, Katy Perry, Emeli Sandé, Capital Cities, Ryan Adams, Sky Ferreira, Tori Kelly, and The Beach Boys.
Prior to his role at Capitol, McCarroll served as Executive Vice President of North American Creative, EMI Music Publishing.
In his ten years at EMI, McCarroll
signed and worked with many successful artists and songwriters, including Butch Walker, Death Cab for Cutie, Pat Monahan and Train, John Mellencamp, Cobra Starship, Regina Spektor, Travie McCoy, Toby Gad, Steve McEwan, David Hodges, Alter Bridge, and Panic!
McCarroll joined EMI Music Publishing's A&R team in Santa Monica in 2002, before moving to New York in 2007 to lead the company's East Coast A&R operations.
had previously run the A&R department for The Music Company

Prior to that, he
spent many years as a touring and session drummer.
