will leave the Quincy Park District to take over as executive director of the Sycamore Park District
on Feb. 6.

Gibble, who spent the past two-and-a-half years as executive director for the Quincy Park District, said he is excited for the opportunity to revive Sycamores parks and recreation offerings while also being closer to family in nearby Lily Lake.

Mundy said Gibble exuded the skills necessary to manage facilities, finances, programming and staffing for a park district.
said the park district could use more trails and greenways, some work on the pool and a financial boost for the golf course.
The course was projected to come in $60,000 short of its projected revenue.
The challenges have motivated Gibble

is excited to see business and community leaders involved with the park district as well as a citizens advisory committee.
