NEW HAVEN, Conn. , New Haven architectural firm, Svigals + Partners, today announced that Damon Kreg Obergfell has joined the company as project manager.Obergfell, who is charged with orchestrating the design and construction processes for a variety of projects and clients, reports directly to Jay Brotman, partner.

...Prior to accepting his appointment with Svigals + Partners, Obergfell spent a year with Ratner Architects, New Haven, Conn. as project manager.He started his career in 1988 with Chamberlin Architects, Grand Junction, Colo., a firm specializing in projects for the National
Park Service.There, he served in a variety of project management and design positions until founding DKO Architects in 1995 , which he operated for more than 10 years.His
work portfolio is diverse and includes church, school, hospital, restaurant, library, office, retail, museum, and theater design, as well as historic restoration.Obergfell holds a bachelor's degree in environmental design from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colo., where he majored in architecture.
A native of Colorado, he
currently resides in Hamden, Conn. with his
wife and two daughters.In his
leisure time, he
enjoys reading, golf, downhill skiing, hiking, art and travel.
