evin Harvison Her great-grandson, Dalton Bernardi, is featured in the Sept. 13 edition of the magazine, the one with Alabama's Trent Richardson on the cover. Dalton Bernardi is featured on page 23, in the "Faces in the Crowd" Scorecard section spotlighting outstanding young athletes. Dalton Bernardi was named the Most Valuable Player in the American Legion World Series, where he's credited with helping lead the Midwest City Outlaws to a 10-2 record and the series title in Spokane, Wash. He's a rarity in that he's both an outstanding pitcher and hitter, as well as a top base-stealer. During the series, he had a .420 batting average with 21 hits and 15 RBIs. He notched a perfect 12 stolen bases in 12 attempts. In the final game of the series, he pitched 2 and 1/2 scoreless innings as a relief pitcher, including three straight strikeouts for the win. He also hammered in three RBIs as part of his contribution to the Outlaws' 10-1 win over the team from Eden Prairie, Minn. In the previous game of a double-header, the Outlaws defeated the Minnesota team 11-6. A sophomore, Dalton Bernardi is currently a pitcher and outfielder at Rose State College in Oklahoma City.
