Dr. E. Dale Threadgill - DirectorDr. Threadgill is currently responsible for leadership and management of the University of Georgia's undergraduate and graduate education programs in engineering and the University's engineering research, extension and outreach programs at the University's Driftmier Engineer Center.He received the B.S. degree in Agricultural Engineering in 1964 and the Ph. D. in Engineering 1n 1968 from Auburn University.As a member of their faculty of Mississippi State University from 1968-1975, he fulfilled teaching and research responsibilities in biological engineering and also served a term as Chairman of the University Faculty Council.He joined the University of Georgia as a faculty member in 1975, becoming Head of the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering in 1987.In 2001, Dr. Threadgill assumed additional responsibilities when he was named the first Director of The Faculty of Engineering, a new multidisciplinary engineering unit at the University of Georgia.During his career, Dr. Threadgill has filled numerous leadership roles in professional societies including two terms on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers.Additionally, he served as the coordinator of the Georgia Environmental Technology Consortium, a division of the Georgia Research Alliance, for the period 1990-1998.Dr. Threadgill has been active in leadership development and has served since 1985 as the Advisor to Leadership Georgia, the oldest statewide leadership development organization in the U.S.
