For the past ten years, Daisy has led the Center for Corporate & Community Development at the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.
tenure at the college, she
has expanded the role of lifelong learning by rebranding the college's open campus to a comprehensive division which includes a broad array of professional and personal development programs including the implementation of the Small Business Development Center, expansion of Kids' Summer Spectrum, and workforce training programs across Manatee and Sarasota counties.
She led the college's planning team in designing the college's third location, the Center for Innovation & Technology at Lakewood Ranch as well as the Bradenton campus' Professional Development Center.
She spent over thirteen years at St. Charles Community College in Missouri, where she was one of the college's founding staff members, and established award winning adult and community education programs and dislocated worker programs, in addition to starting several college degree programs.
is actively involved in local Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development organizations.
has held board positions on the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance
, the Women's' Resource Center in Manatee County, and Manatee Educational Television.
She has held administrative and teaching positions at Metro Community College in Omaha, Central Missouri State University, and University of Maryland.
She has been a leader in continuing education organizations in Missouri, Nebraska and Florida where she is currently the chair-elect for the Continuing and Adult Education Standing Committee.
