Dack G. Stuart, M.S., Coastal Scientist
Dack Stuart earned his M.S. in marine studies (oceanography) from the University of Delaware- Lewes in 2010 after receiving his B.S. in oceanography from the University of Michigan in 2008. His thesis work studied the human effects of large-scale historical modifications to wetlands, and their subsequent effect on sediment dynamics and accumulation. Mr. Stuart has experience with environmental monitoring of surface water, groundwater, and sub-surface sediments on both large-scale (e.g. Superfund) and small-scale study locations as well as producing technical reports summarizing annual change of contaminant concentrations. He has experience with spatial and temporal quantification of shoreline and bathymetric change using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and other geospatial software packages to map and define geomorphological processes. He has worked on various acoustic profiling projects involving the acquisition and processing of bathymetric, side-scan, and sub-bottom sonar data. Mr. Stuart has several years of experience with wetland and coastal dune delineation, which often require the use of real-time kinematic (RTK) GPS systems. Brief Bio Sketch
