DaSean Jones has been selected for promotion to Major in the United States Army Reserves where he is a Judge Advocate. Mr. Jones has served in the Army for over 14 years. He initially entered the military as a Tuskegee ROTC graduate, then accepting a commission as a Field Artillery Officer. During his time in the military Mr. Jones deployed to Iraq twice and worked in various units.
Mr. Jones is the son of a retired Army Non-Commissioned Officer and the brother of two retired Army Non-Commissioned Officers. He and his family are honored that he has been selected. He personally looks forward to the new challenges and opportunities associated with the promotion.

Additionally, Mr. Jones worked at a highly-regarded, criminal defense firm, the largest independent distribution company in Texas, and the third largest electricity and gas utility in the United States of America.
Military Service
Mr. Jones is a decorated Iraqi War veteran. On the same day he completed his undergraduate degree, Mr. Jones followed his dad's footsteps and entered the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery Second Lieutenant. While on active duty functioned as the Operations Officer for 17th Field Artillery Brigade, the Battalion Liaison Officer in the 5th Battalion, 3rd Artillery "First Round"; the Battalion Logistics Officer, 3rd Battalion, 18th Field Artillery "Steel Professionals"; the Executive Officer for Alpha Battery, 3rd Battalion, 18th Field Artillery; and a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for the 6th Battalion 37th Field Artillery "On the Minute" (Republic of Korea).
Mr. Jones's military honors include: the Combat Action Badge; the Bronze Star Medal with one campaign star; the Meritorious Service Medal; the Army Commendation Medal, with one oak leaf cluster; the Army Achievement Medal, with one oak leaf cluster; the National Defense Service Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal; the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; the Korean Defense Service Medal; the Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Training Ribbon; and the Overseas Service Ribbon. Additionally, Mr. Jones attended: Airborne School, the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, the Joint Fire Control Course, Armor Captain's Career Course, Cavalry Leadership Course, the Modern Army Combatives Program (Certified Level II Instructor); Judge Advocate Officer Basic Course, and the Judge Advocate Officer Advanced Course.

Mr. Jones is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. where he served as the Vice Polemarch for the Killeen-Fort Hood Alumni Chapter. Additionally, Mr. Jones is a Prince Hall Mason. Today, outside of his civilian practice, he serves as Trial Defense Counsel in the Army Reserve component.
