played college football offensive line at a weight far below that of players typically known for their incredible bulk.
"I weighed 180, and I like to say I'm six-feet but I'm really 5-11," says Morrison, managing partner of the Greeneville office of Rodefer Moss, one of Tennessee's largest accounting firms.
"If I was anything, I was tenacious."
Morrison was studying managerial accounting at Tusculum College, and he says playing football taught him that "when you're a member of a team you have to rely on others and they have to be able to rely on you; there has to be trust and performance.
"When someone made a mental error everyone ran 40-yard wind sprints until the coach got tired, and he
wasn't running," Morrison
"It teaches you to pay attention."
says one of his
biggest personal assets is that he's
good with people, a trait he
developed going to 13 different Tennessee and North Carolina schools by the time he
was in middle school.
wife, Amanda, have been married for 17 years.
After his 1995 college graduation, Morrison worked for another accounting firm, then joining Rodefer Moss in 2002.
In 2006, at age 33, he became the youngest partner in the firm's history up to that time.
