Curtis Gibbens As part of a continuing series on our board members, we continue with biographies for Curtis Gibbens and Gayle Dennis. Curtis Gibbens Field Trips Coordinator Curtis has enjoyed outdoor photography for over ten years, especially wildlife subjects. Photography has made mornings his favorite time during the day. There are many weekends he wakes up earlier than the workweek. This is the time when this busy area is calm, the creatures are on the prowl and the light is at its best. Curtis used to travel around the country for weeks and sometimes months at a time for work. He took advantage of this opportunity by taking his Nikon camera and exploring the area on weekends. His equipment has improved since that time, but he no longer travels for work. But that doesn't bother Curtis because some of his favorite places are located in this area. Curtis says, "NVPS has contributed to my growth as a photographer, especially transitioning from film to digital, which was a long and hard process.
