Perkins named new head of LTC Foundation

OAKWOOD - Cris Perkins is the new Executive Director of the Lanier Technical College (LTC) Foundation.
Perkins comes to Lanier Tech from Gwinnett Technical College where he spent nearly six years as part of its Development Team as Director of Institutional Advancement.
brings over ten years of experience in the Technical College System of Georgia
He also served from April 2002 through December 2006 as Director of Institutional Advancement at Athens Technical College.

community, our college leadership, faculty, staff and students to provide our students with the tools they will need to enter the workforce."
While at Gwinnett Tech, Perkins worked primarily with the college's construction and trades programs as well as helping to secure funding for the college's Gwinnett Advancement Program and Building Operator Certification Programs.
also worked with area businesses to set up internship and scholarship programs.

Prior to working in the TCSG system, Perkins has held a number of Public Relations roles throughout his career.
He was director of media and public relations for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, assistant director of athletic media relations at The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, and Director of Public Relations for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association .
He earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism from Nicholls State University.
Perkins' wife, Sharon, is beginning her seventh season as Head Softball Coach at Georgia Tech.
