The New Orleans Times-Picayune, citing sources, includes the Cowboys in a list of five schools considered potential destinations for Victor, along with LSU, Tulane, Ohio State and San Diego State.
Victor signed with Arizona out of Findlay Prep, a preparatory school in Nevada, where he played his senior season of high school ball after transferring from St. Augustine High in New Orleans.
With Findlay, which collects star talent, he averaged 13.7 points and 8.6 rebounds, shooting 61 percent from the floor. In the national recruiting rankings, he was pegged at No. 37 by ESPN, No. 40 by Rivals and No. 42 by Scout.
Victor played in eight games for Arizona, averaging 3.1 points and 1.1 rebounds. His minutes have been blocked by upperclassmen and the Wildcats have recruited a five-star power forward for next season.
Without a hardship waiver, Victor wouldn't be eligible for his next team until the conclusion of the 2015 fall semester.
