was born in Huntington Park, California in 1957.He received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach in 1982.In 1989, Mr. Griffin received his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he served as Lead Articles Editor of the B.Y.U. Law Review, and Associate Editor of the International Law Annual.

include Corporate Scienter Under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, 1989 B.Y.U. L.Rev.1227, and Shearson/American Express v. McMahon: The Diminishing Role of Courts in Securities Disputes, 1988 B.Y.U. L.Rev.443.Following graduation, Mr. Griffin
